Flo-Ops is a student-centered mobile learning platform developed by educators. It fosters a strong sense of community by seamlessly integrating a student’s social life, academic journey, and educational resources into one unified platform, enhancing student outcomes and engagement.
Mr. Estrada interest in education began during his undergraduate career at the College of the Holy Cross. He was a middle school math teacher in Kenya, and both a 2nd grade teacher and after-school director at a primary school in Wisconsin. During his graduate certificate program in Electrical Engineering at Santa Clara University, he was frustrated with the outdated course management platforms that did not incorporate his life after school. He discovered this trend to be nation-wide from educators, students, and parents. This led to the concept of Flo-Ops with the official launch in the summer of 2020. Gio is a first generation college graduate who holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Spanish from the College of Holy Cross. He has over 7+ years working as a business development manager for global manufactures.
Ms. Narvaez has over 30+ years of software experience. She exited a school dismissal platform that is currently in over 5,000 schools. Previously she developed and sold a software platform in Texas, and moved to Georgia. There is she is managing a team of 7 other software developers for Flo-Ops. Which includes backend, frontend, IOs, Android, Q&A, APIs developers.
Mr. Beitler has over 30+ years as a e-learning director at Florida International University and Palm Beach State College. He also serves as a council for the Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) on Distance Learning. Sid focuses on the product development of Flo-Ops to make sure its meets the needs of both educators and students.
Mrs. Arrington holds a B.S. in Communications and a minor in education from the University of Miami, an M.S. in Mass Communications from Florida International University, and a Certificate in Creative Copywriting from Miami Ad School. Lindsi has several years of experience working as a video content creator for productions companies. Dr. Victoria Brown, Professor of Educational Leadership: Curriculum and Instruction, is currently pursuing her research interest as faculty in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Florida Atlantic University after serving as the Assistant Provost for the Center for eLearning. Her research interest is evaluation of factors associated with providing high quality online programs through course design and professional development within higher education, application of universal design and media literacy to improve student outcomes for low-socioeconomic status individuals, and the improvement of online student outcomes with support services. She continues to explore how to use emerging technology to design engaging learner experiences including gamification and simulation design.
Mr. Martinez is an international entrepreneur, he has led numerous high impact initiatives in high technology, business consulting, healthcare, and education. During his 32 year tenure with IBM, Martinez was Vice President of Global Business Services and the Senior Location Executive for IBM South Florida. He was the Consulting Profession Leader for IBM Americas and was part of the original IBM Personal Computer team and one of the founders of IBM’s Internet Division and eBusiness Consulting. Martinez has over 30 patents and technical publications. He is a frequent key note at international conferences and has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, ABC News, The Economist, Univision and CNN and has presented at the United Nations.
Dr. McIntyre has more than three decades of experience as an educational leader. He has served as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany, master’s degree from Harvard University, and doctorate from Northeastern University. Dr. McIntyre is focused on ensuring all students have access to a high quality and equitable educational experience. Currently he serves as the superintendent of the Milford Public Schools in Massachusetts.
